Which of the following statements about the sampling distribution of the sample mean is not true?

a.)The sampling distribution of the sample mean is approximately normal whenever the sample size is sufficiently large (n 30).

b.)The sampling distribution of the sample mean is generated by repeatedly taking samples of size n and computing the sample means.

c.) The mean of the sampling distribution of the sample mean is equal to the population mean .

d.) The standard deviation of the sampling distribution of the sample mean is equal to the population standard deviation .Which of the following statements about the sampling distribution of the sample mean is not true?
I think it's (d): The standard deviation for the sample mean will be less than the population standard deviation because sample means will generally be closer to the actual mean than any random individual.

Think about baseball batting averages: If we took the average of 10 of a players at bats and averaged them, it'd be the same as the average computed without sampling, but instead of either being 0 or 1 (like either a hit or a failure), they'd be in the middle, closer to the actual average (which is like .3 or something).Which of the following statements about the sampling distribution of the sample mean is not true?
Probably (d)- The formula for st. dev. for a sample is (population st. dev.)/(sq.rt. of n), so they are definitely not the same.
