True or False: Atheists sit in your churches and disrupt service with DNA samples and evolution theory books?

If false, why is it OK to come to my home and bother me with something I don't believe in?True or False: Atheists sit in your churches and disrupt service with DNA samples and evolution theory books?
Try answering the door wearing red contacts, a thong and carrying a satanic bible. I bet they never knock on your door again.True or False: Atheists sit in your churches and disrupt service with DNA samples and evolution theory books?
I have seen it with my own eyes in my brain

it is true

I have even seen them replace some of the pages with those of science books

true .. true I tell ya
Not church goer.

If you don't pet the kitty for 10 minutes she'll bother you for six hours.
Atheists don't go to churches because they don't believe in anything but their own existence.

They do however shove their beliefs down the throats of children who are forced to learn their myths of evolution in every public school.

They also force Catholics and other religious instructors to teach their children evolution.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>

So who is the real culprit and who is the victim?
Its not ok to bother you. Live and let live. God made us to be able to chose for ourselves. A simple ';no thank you'; and quietly closing the door will suffice. Christ did not argue or fight. God's word is a fact whether they chose to believe it or not.
I usually just tell my doberman to keep them in check!
Can you say ';not intrested'; boys and girls, sure you can try it, ';N..o...t........IN...tre...s....ted'; see that's not so hard is it. Now on the other hand, what give atheists the right to shove their religion into my child's classroom, teaching it as fact, failing them if they disagree and refuse to write an answer that they believe is a lie. Why is it OK, to take their sacred holidays Like Christmas and Thanksgiving and turn them into hollow shells of what they were, so watered down with political correctness and multi-culturalism that they no longer have any meaning at all. Why is it OK to tell the christian child, get the ';Jesus Saves'; tee shirt off, but allow the Muslim children to wear the veil in school. I could go on all day, the hypocrisy is ridiculous. The only ones that hate crimes DON'T apply to are when they are committed against Christians. Read the papers. Look it up on the net.
Eww, Church!

False.

-good point-
put something slippery on your front porch the moment you see them coming and if they try to sue or threaten let them know they were trespassing. That's what I would do lol or put a picture of a naked woman on your window and hope they would be offended
Excellent!
Don't answer the door.

Christians and Athiests do it, its the same.

Although most non-Christians I know don't talk about the whole evolution thing, I've gotten plenty of knocks on my door from missionaries, and have been condemned to hell by a number of nuns.

So I ignore them!
False.

Do not open your door. The lock is inside.
Answer the door naked.
You know, that would make a great story on a Michael Moore documentary: Atheists knocking on doors and trying to convert people to Atheism.
False, you have every right to believe in what you want. Its your choice to choose the right way or the wrong. Nobody should be bothering you about something you dont believe in, they should tell you once and thats it, if you don't accept the truth then so be it.
Loveeeeeeeeeeeee it.
Put a sign on your door, hell bound, they won,t bother you.
oOoOo

i smell something burning... did the religious folks just get burned there...? =]
Ok, so when did I ever come to your home???

Or, are you thinking about JWs and Mormons? They have to knock on doors. They think that the more doors you knock on, the better you are in heaven or something.

Why NOT come to our church with your so-called ';evidence';?

But come early, and wait till the service is over. You never know what you might just learn from the sermon.

True or False? The density of a substance varies with the samples of that substance.?

False. Density is mass divided by volume. If it is a true substance, its ratio of mass to volume should be constant.True or False? The density of a substance varies with the samples of that substance.?
True, you compress any gas substance to increase it's density.

Density is mass divided by volume, both of mass and volume of a substance varies.True or False? The density of a substance varies with the samples of that substance.?
    false....thats all i can say
    True.

Few things are an exact match. On some things (say a sponge) we might be able to measure the different densities of various parts of the sponge and find some more or less dense than the sponge as a whole.

Even pure water may not be exactly the same density throughout. This could be caused by differences in the heat content of a particular sample of water. We might not be able to measure the differences, but they are there.
    False
false - as long as it's the same substance, it's density should always remain the same.
It depends of if the substance is a compound or mixture, etc. Water, for example, has a different density at different temperatures.

    So....It's true! Sometimes!
This is not as simple as true and false. The real answer is that it depends on the substance and whether we're talking theoretically or in the real world. Theoretically, the answer is false for any completely homogenous substance. In the real world the answer is true depending on the purity of the substance, how well mixed it is and how precise your measurements are. If you refine gold using state of the art refinement processes, you can expect that the density of samples of that gold will vary within an extremely small range. A range that may be immeasurable by all but the most precise equipment. On the other hand, if you measure the density of samples fresh out of the ground, you will find a wide variance since all sorts of impurities will be present.
True. Realistically, every sample that you take of a certain material isn't going to have the same density. Depending on what you have it can vary according to environmental factors like temperature. However, you can usually rely on the average density of a certain material that you would find in a textbook.

Wow, um, firstly, getting a DNA sample isn't against our beliefs, certainly not through a mouth swab.

That said, even if his religious beliefs said no, I highly doubt that would be a stopping point in a rape trial.

NONE of this story makes sense, hopefully you misunderstood it, if not, presuming you aren't making this up, then the show was just jerking the audience around.

I am a Christian, one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Jehovah makes it clear that blood should not be taken into another persons body by eating or any other means...even if we *think it can save our life [temporarily of course - either a meal or a transfusion] Only one person's blood is life-saving, Jesus own perfect sinless blood.

Considering all the scriptures on blood,

Each witness of Jehovah makes a PERSONAL decision on whether or not he will allow his blood to be tested for medical reasons. Most witnesses are sensible people who want to prolong their life as long as possible, to be able to Glorify our God, Jehovah - but we will not laugh in the face of or ';invalidate'; Jesus' sacrifice of blood for us by trying to take our life in our own hands, so to speak.

If a DNA sample is needed, saliva and hair always provide those, but I have never known a brother or sister to refuse to give a DNA blood sample for testing - most usually we can be assured that the blood will then be disposed of properly and in accord with the scriptures.

*IF a Christian has a good reason to suspect that his blood will be used improperly or not disposed of properly, he might refuse. But, what happens to his blood when it leaves his body is technically, out of his hands *as long as he has taken *reasonable* steps to ensure proper use and disposal.

Generally, we don't worry about what happens to our blood samples - we try to talk to doctors and lab staff and educate ourselves.

Jehovah expects us to be reasonable...not to stalk our blood samples all the way to the inferno or land-fill!
    That is utter nonsense!

Jehovahs Witnesses are known to obey the authorities as long as it does no conflict with what they are taught in the Bible.

Of course he would give a sample of his spit - even a sample of his blood

I very much doubt it if a witness would commit a rape.
This was an episode of ';Law and Order';. Utterly fictional and incorrect. Jehovah's Witnesses would have no biblical reason not to give DNA.
Anyone regardless of religious preference can deny to give DNA without a court order.

Is there anything linking JW doctrine to refusal.....no.
I know they won't give blood, but they could get a DNA from the rim of a cup that he drank from. I don't think a swab would be against their religion that's whacked.
I haven't heard this one before.

No, it is not true. Don't believe everything you see on TV.
WOW! The stories get more %26amp; more crazy as time goes on. I haven't heard that before. That is so far from the truth, it's almost funny.

Is it true the government is collecting blood samples from everyone, especially babies to amass a data base?

to amass and maintain a database of blood, DNA, and other biological information about its citizens, and then it will use all of these blood samples to manufacture various biological diseases to exterminate people based on race and other characteristics? Is it true the government is collecting blood samples from everyone, especially babies to amass a data base?
Not yet. But in the US, we lost the freedom to choose to keep our medical records private from the government back in February when they passed the ';Stimulus'; bill. The Stimulus bill included a national governmental database for the government of everyone's medical records. When they get it set up, doctors will be required to send all our information to the database.

Also, in the current health bill they are pushing, there is talk about evaluating a doctor's performance for quality. How could the government possibly do this without digging into our personal records and evaluating our health? How can they evaluate a doctor's performance without finding out all about us?

So, we've already given up our freedom of privacy. I don't think it would be a stretch of the imagination to say that soon we will be losing our freedom of choice in medical care. From that point, we won't have any power against the government so the rest won't matter, will it?Is it true the government is collecting blood samples from everyone, especially babies to amass a data base?
I wouldn't be surprised, but that is horrible.

  • I need to Complete these samples below to make them true, for an owl, and a hawk?

I need to show the different between these thing from the animals: owl and hawk

    Wing

    Where is hunts prey

    Time of Day it Hunts

Aspect of Vision Used in Hunting

Nesting AreaI need to Complete these samples below to make them true, for an owl, and a hawk?
Well, it depends on the species. If you are talking about a ferruginous pygmy owl, the wingspan is quite small--up to 8 inches. It hunts prey in grassy areas--fields surrounded by forests, and usually does so in the day--unlike the common misconception that all owls hunt at night.

However, if you are talking about a barn owl, this is a whole different family completely. The wingspan is 75-100 cm, and loves grassy fields to hunt. They are strictly nocturnal, and they don't use their vision when hunting--rather, they rely on their unique ear structures to pick up on noises. Barn owls nest in hollowed out areas without any nesting material.

Owls can vary completely, depending on the species you want to research. Same with hawks--I suggest that you choose a species, and work from there.

    This is just an example.

In 1,000 samples, assuming that H0 is true, how many times would you expect to commit Type I error if (a) 伪 =?

Need help to understand what I need to writeIn 1,000 samples, assuming that H0 is true, how many times would you expect to commit Type I error if (a) 伪 =?
hmmm.. i'm not sure i get what you're saying here

but basically, if Ho is true, you would falsely reject it 伪 times (as percent) out of 100

but the thing is, you can pick whatever 伪 level you want.. the most common are .1, .05, and .01

so if you have an alpha level (伪) of .05, you will (on average) incorrectly reject the null (Ho) hypotheses 5 times out of 100 trials. so it would be 50 out of 1000..

but it all depends on the initial alpha level that you set..

As the sample size grows, R虏 should fall. True/False/Uncertain?

    False,

as the sample size increase the correlation coefficient R will increase in absolute value and thus R虏 will increase.

The correlation coefficient, r, is a measure of the linear relationship between two variables. If the data is non-linear then the correlation coefficient is meaningless.

r takes on values between -1 and 1. negative values indicate the relationship between the variables is indirect, i.e., on a scatter plot the data tends to have a negative slope. Positive values for r indicate the data tends to have a positive slope. if r = 0 we say the variables are uncorrelated.

the closer the absolute value of r is to 1, the stronger the linear association between the two variables.

there are many different formulas for calculating the value of r. if we let xbar and ybar be the means of two data sets. sx and sy are the standard deviations in the data sets and n = total sample size then:

    r = 1/(n - 1) * 危( ((xi - xbar)/sx) * ((yi - ybar)/sy)) with the sum going from i = 1 to n

    r = Covariance(X,Y) / [(鈭?Var(X))鈭?Var(Y))]

    r = 危(xi - xbar)(yi - ybar) / [ 鈭?危(xi - xbar)虏) 鈭?危(yi - ybar)虏)]

the second equation shows that the correlation coefficient the ratio between the measure of spread between the variables and the product of the spread within each variable.

    r is unit less.

r is not affected by multiplying each data set by a constant, and a constant to each data set or interchanging x and y.

    r is subject to outliers.

r虏 is called the coefficient of determination. It is a measure of the proportion of variance in y explained by regression.

Also note that correlation is not causation. Here is an example: the shoe size of grade school students and the student's vocabulary are highly correlated. In other words, the larger the shoe size, the larger the vocabulary the student has. Now it is easy to see that shoe size and vocabulary have nothing to do with each other, but they are highly correlated. The reason is that there is a confounding factor, age. the older the grade school student the larger the shoe size and the larger the vocabulary.

you cannot compare models by comparing the r values. This is a long discussion, a full day lecture in the prob/stat courses I've instructed. Model comparison is a topic usually saved for high level under grad courses or graduate level courses.

good sites with info about correlation are:

PLz helpIs the following sentence true of false? The density of a substance varies with the samples of that substance?
If the substance is pure, like ice or gold or sugar, or homogenous like oil or steel, then no it doesn't vary.

If the substance is a heterogenous mixture, then it can.

Are there any true Random Samples?

Why or Why not?Are there any true Random Samples?
Yes. You take your target group and assign each a number 1-10. Then you take a random number table or have the computer generate one and pull your sample from there. Are there any true Random Samples?
Certainly one can produce random samples, truly random samples. Let me give you an example. If you want to create a list of random numbers, you could take a radioactive source and a detector to make a sound every time a particle is ejected from a decaying nucleus. The time between the sounds will be truly random.

If you are doing a survey of people walking past a certain point in a subway station, you could stop a person whenever you hear the sound. That would be truly random. However, it would not be a random stratified sample, which is often more representative of a population than just a random sample.
I believe not, for everyone is different. Since there are no two people alike (and I'm also talking about identical twins for they don't think alike, only look alike), researchers cannot get a true sample of the public unless they actually take everyone for the experiment, which of course would not consider it a sampling.
Random is an interesting concept. Flipping a coin can be considered random, in computing terms creating a random sample is more difficult.

Running a timer in a micro which goes from 0 to 255 every 0.001 second and then using that as a number when someone decides to touch a button will give a good random number between 0 and 255 , because there is little chance of prediction.

using a Zener diode on the input to a micro also creates a random effect wich in turn can be used for random number generation.

In short, external , physical effects are more likely to produce a random effect, no matter how simple and when weighed against a complex mathematical algorithm that ultimately may be flawed.
it is interesting question. don't beleive . i think it is different

Is it true u get samples of Mac pigments at a counter for free? i just walk in ask them for it?

Yes, (lucky for us), this is true!

I go to MAC several times a week, and I am friends with everyone who works there. Every time I walk in, they insist I take samples of the latest collections. Trust me, if they think you'll buy it, they're happy to let you try it :)

-Cindy Is it true u get samples of Mac pigments at a counter for free? i just walk in ask them for it?
Yes, it is true but I have found that it all depends on the MA (makeup artist) some are more willing than others to give out the free samples. I would recommend only asking for pigment samples when making a purchase, they are more likely to give you more of a sample than if you just ask for the sample and don't purchase anything. A good relationship with your makeup artist is good for you in that purchase and in future purchases. Is it true u get samples of Mac pigments at a counter for free? i just walk in ask them for it?
Yes, but go and at least pretend you are thinking of buying something. Then act as if you can't decide on the colors you want and ask for a sample. Usually most brand name counters will do this and Sephora does too. You won't get enough to last you a month, but you will get enough to be satisfied to last for at least a week. Especially if you get like 2 or 3 colors.

6.02x10^23 molecules of CO2 (ideal gas law; 1 mole occupies 22.4 L at STP)A sample of carbon dioxide occupies 22.4 liters at STP. Which of the following statements is true?
the sample contains 6.02E23 molecules. if the sample occupies 22.4 L at STP, you have one mole of material. in this case you're looking at a volume of carbon dioxide, not a volume of oxygen or hydrogen gas, so you have 6.02E23 molecules of carbon dioxide.

Sample of argon & krypton gas both have same temperature.Which of the following is true regarding argon atoms?

A.The argon atoms have the same average kinetic energy as the krypton atoms, but the argon atoms (on average) are moving faster than the krypton atoms.

B.The argon atoms have the same average kinetic energy as the krypton atoms and therefore have the same average speed as the krypton atoms.

D.The argon atoms have the same average speed as the krypton atoms, but the argon atoms (on average) have more kinetic than the krypton atoms.

E.The argon atoms have the same average speed as the krypton atoms, but the argon atoms (on average) have less kinetic than the krypton atoms.Sample of argon %26amp; krypton gas both have same temperature.Which of the following is true regarding argon atoms?
At the same temperature two different gasses will have the same average kinetic energy. Since kinetic energy is calculated from the mass and the square of the speed the most massive particle will have the slowest average speed. Krypton atoms have more mass than argon atoms so argon will have the greater average speed. The answer is A.

Does anyone know of true freebie sites with free samples? Please give me links?

I have been on a free sample kick lately and I have been browsing all of the major free sites.. problem is that the majority of them are crap or spam. I am kind of a packrat so I love free little things. The only one i've ever truly gotten anything from is yayfreestuff.com and even that sometimes doesn't work... Anyone know where i could get some real stuff? Please don't be rude. I do have a job but it's always nice to get free stuff! lolDoes anyone know of true freebie sites with free samples? • The 95% C.I. around a given sample mean is wider than the 90% C.I. around the mean. True or False and why?

A 95% confidence interval is wider than a 90% confidence interval.

The width of confidence intervals around the mean of a population are inversely proportional to the 伪-risk (the risk of stating that the ACTUAL population mean is in the C.I. when it is NOT). Therefore, the smaller the 伪-risk, the wider the C.I., where confidence = 伪 - 1.

you can use it to paint the furniture ,just put a protective clear coat ,varnish or polyurethene over it ,the reason they say not to use it as a final coat product has to do with the chemical composition , there are less resins ,and base in the to go samples and they are not formulated to be a final paint, just a product to give you a quick color sample....painting contractor. Is it true that Sherwin Williams Paint to Go samples paints are not meant to be used as permanent paints?
My understanding is that it is the normal paint in a satin finish. I don't know why this would be a problem. Chances are they don't want people doing what you are doing. They'd rather sell you a gallon.

In a survey of women between the ages of 20 and 40, it was found that 88 out of 200 women take prenatal vitamins. Find a 90% confidence interval for the true proportion in the sampled population of women between the ages of 20 and 40 who take prenatal vitamins.

Please help (show work)!!!Find a 90% confidence interval for the true proportion in the sampled population of women between the ages of?
    p=X/n=88/200=.44

the Zscore for a 90% CI is 1.645 (use a normal distribution table and find the Z Score associate with .05, because 1-90%=.1 and half of .1 is in one tail of the distribution and .05 is in the other)

    p +or- Z * Square root of ((p(1-p))/n)

    So the upper limit is

    =.44 + 1.645 * SQRT((.44*.66)/200)

    =.44 + 1.645 * .38105118

    =.44 + .06268

    =.50268

    The lower limit

    =.44 - 1.645 * SQRT((.44*.66)/200)

    =.44 - 1.645 * .38105118

    =.44 - .06268

    =.37732

Therefore, you can be 90% certain the percent of women between 20 and 40 years of age that take prenatal vitamins lies between 37.73% and 50.27%

Positive values for r indicate the data tends to have a positive slope. if r = 0 we say the variables are uncorrelated.

the closer the absolute value of r is to 1, the stronger the linear association between the two variables.

there are many different formulas for calculating the value of r. if we let xbar and ybar be the means of two data sets. sx and sy are the standard deviations in the data sets and n = total sample size then:

    r = 1/(n - 1) * 危( ((xi - xbar)/sx) * ((yi - ybar)/sy)) with the sum going from i = 1 to n

    r = Covariance(X,Y) / [(鈭?Var(X))鈭?Var(Y))]

    r = 危(xi - xbar)(yi - ybar) / [ 鈭?危(xi - xbar)虏) 鈭?危(yi - ybar)虏)]

the second equation shows that the correlation coefficient the ratio between the measure of spread between the variables and the product of the spread within each variable.

    r is unit less.

r is not affected by multiplying each data set by a constant, and a constant to each data set or interchanging x and y.

    r is subject to outliers.

r虏 is called the coefficient of determination.

'Note that the sample variance [sd_n^2] defined above is not an unbiased estimator for the population variance [sigma^2]. In order to obtain an unbiased estimator for [sigma^2], it is necessary to instead define a ';bias-corrected sample variance';'

There's more there. I'd try to explain it but I've never fully understood this myself.

False if I remember the statistics correctly (I am writing from memory). The distribution of sample means is a normal distribution. The distribution of sample means for that population will have a positively skewed distribution true or false?
The One Who Knows is correct. It's the central limit theorem that states this. With such a large sample, the sample averages will be normal regardless of the population shape.

If you keep a book out W-A-Y too long, don't pay the fines on it, and a warrant is issued for your arrest, you might be fingerprinted when you're booked, but I don't think the cops will take a DNA sample unless they actually need one.

Besides, fingerprinting and DNA sampling are carried out at a police station, not at a library.

True, but the sample size has to be greater than 1. The larger the sample size, the greater the sample averages will resemble a normal distribution regardless of the shape of the population and the more precise will be your test results.

  • Which of the following statements is true with respect to the sampling distribution of a proportion?

    A. The mean of the sampling distribution will equal the population proportion.

    B. An increase in sample size will result in a reduction in the size of the standard deviation.

    C. As long as the sample size is sufficiently large, the sampling distribution will be appromixately noraml.

    D. All of the above are trueWhich of the following statements is true with respect to the sampling distribution of a proportion?
    D, all the above.

A and B are covered by the following:

    Let X1, X2, ... , Xn be a random sample from a population with mean 渭 and variance 蟽^2

So, here we have the following:

    E(Xbar)

    = E(1/n 鈭?Xi)

    = 1/n * E(鈭慩i)

expectation is a linear operator so we can take the sum out side of the argurement

    = 1/n * 鈭?E(Xi)

there are n terms in the sum and the E(Xi) is the same for all i

    = 1/n * nE(Xi)

    = E(Xi)

    E(Xbar) = 渭

    --

    Var(Xbar)

    = Var(1/n * 鈭慩i)

    = 1/n^2 Var(鈭慩i)

because the samples are independent we can take the sum out side of the Var argument. if the samples where not independent then this would not be possible.

    = 1/n^2 * 鈭慥ar(Xi)

there are n terms in the sum and the Var(Xi) is the same for all i

    Var(Xbar) = 1/n * Var(X)

and Standard Deviation of Xbar is 蟽/sqrt(n)

This shows that the mean of the sample mean is the population mean and as n, the sample size, increases the variance/standard deviation decreases.

C is covered by the central limit theorem.

Let X1, X2, ... , Xn be a simple random sample from a population with mean 渭 and variance 蟽虏.

Let Xbar be the sample mean = 1/n * 鈭慩i

Let Sn be the sum of sample observations: Sn = 鈭慩i

then, if n is sufficiently large:

Xbar has the normal distribution with mean 渭 and variance 蟽虏 / n

    Xbar ~ Normal(渭 , 蟽虏 / n)

Sn has the normal distribution with mean n渭 and variance n蟽虏

    Sn ~ Normal(n渭 , n蟽虏)

The great thing is that it does not matter what the under lying distribution is, the central limit theorem holds. It was proven by Markov using continuing fractions.

if the sample comes from a uniform distribution the sufficient sample size is as small as 12

if the sample comes from an exponential distribution the sufficient sample size could be several hundred to several thousand.

if the data comes from a normal distribution to start with then any sample size is sufficient.

for n %26lt; 30, if the sample is from a normal distribution we use the Student t statistic to estimate the distribution. We do this because the Student t takes into account the uncertainty in the estimate for the standard deviation.

if we now the population standard deviation then we can use the z statistic from the beginning.

the value of 30 was empirically defined because at around that sample size, the quantiles of the student t are very close the quantiles of the standard normal.Which of the following statements is true with respect to the sampling distribution of a proportion?
To the best of my knowledge, C seems to be the most correct.

You would need a font editor (Google it, there are many available). But you will probably find that the font will not work all that well. To make it look at all decent, you have to careful choose the start and finish of each letter so they will line up. But the time you do that, it no longer looks like your handwriting. Becames just another standard caligraphy font...
There are companies that will create a font of your own handwriting. It would be extremely difficult to do it yourself. Here is one company. It is between $75 and $90 for a full font.

An absolute zero, a sample of an ideal gas would zero volume. Why if not true the actual gas at absolute zero.

I'm not 100% sure what you are asking, but I can tell you that everything breaks down at absolute zero, and equations like PV=nRT just wouldn't work anymore, assuming you could actually do it, which we can't.An absolute zero, a sample of an ideal gas would zero volume. Why if not true the actual gas at absolute zero.
you can not reach absolute zero

you can get with in a billionth of a degree but never get there completelyAn absolute zero, a sample of an ideal gas would zero volume. Why if not true the actual gas at absolute zero.
it cant be absolute zero....where wil all the stuffs inside the atoms go...they will need some space to stay na?
That is not a question, or even a sentence.

The Physical Laws as we know them would not work at Absolute Zero, certain calculations will either result in zero, of infinity, or divide by zero errors.

Second, of course, no gas would still be a gas at that temperature, it would have long since become a solid. So again, the Gas Laws don't apply.

Third, as pointed out, we can't actually achieve absolute zero, there will always be residual energy, so the point is moot anyway.
First off, no actual gas is an ideal gas. An ideal gas is made up of particles taking up zero volume and having no interactions between particles. An actual gas is made up of molecules that have a nonzero volume and also have intermolecular interactions. Hence an actual gas cannot have zero volume at absolute zero. This is a purely classical argument and doesn't include quantum effects.. There will be quantum fluctuations that would also help to keep the gas from having zero volume.

    true.

If we don't know anything about phat and are still asked to find the sample size we let phat = 0.5. This maximizes the value of the error term and if n is sufficient for phat = 0.5, the n will be sufficient for all other values of phat.

    ';When time it come to my sound which is de champion sound';

American Rapper Mos Def has used it, it has been used this electro group kicksquad has used it, and Canadian rapper Kardinall Offishall has used it for his hit Ol Time Killin'

Who is it? Reggae song sample (only true reggae/DUB connoisseurs!) ?
It's sort of complicated. Due to the state of early reggae, there is really no telling who used the term champion sound first. It likely developed from the dancehall or ';state show'; culture, where different soundsystems would battle in a soundclash. Many of these expressions developed from the singers bigging up their soundsystem by saying things like, we a di champion sound, or we a sound killa.

A popular song that uses a similar lyric is:

    Tenor Saw- Ring the Alarm

    ';Some sound sound like a pig jump on, Listen to this sound im a champion, run the dance inna any session, rock up the woman and we rock up the man';

Is that true, that in Bangkok nightclubs police can take your urine sample to check the presence of drugs?

The Thai justice system seems to work on the premise of your guilty until prov-en Innocent. However, if you keep a low profile you can pretty much to do what ever you want. Though, I would still stay away from using street drugs, as if caught by some twist of fate you could be facing some dire consequences.

Not sure of the actual success but I believe over a 1000 people where killed resisting arrest or who committed suicide after being arrested. A random sample of 100 tax returns shows that 65% have errors. Find a 90% con int for the true pop proportion.

Last sentence should read: Find a 90% confidence interval for the true population proportion.A random sample of 100 tax returns shows that 65% have errors. Find a 90% con int for the true pop proportion.
To find a confidence interval you must first find the margin of error. The equation for margin of error is:

    E = Z * sqrt((pq)/n)

Where Z is the critical value, p is the sampled proportion, q is one minus the sample proportion, and n is the number of elements in the sample. We know that p is .65. Since q is 1 - p, q must be .35. And n is given to us as 100.

Z will be a little harder to find. The critical value is z-score value that separates the area that is within the critical level from the area outside the critical level. There will be a positive and a negative z-score that do this, but the critical value is always the positive one. To find the critical value we must first find the area on a normal curve that the critical value will correspond to. To find this value use the equation:

    V = ((1 - C) / 2) + C

Where C is the confidence level. By plugging .9 in for C we get:

    V = ((1 - .9) / 2) + .9 = .95

Now we must find the z-score that corresponds to this value. Use a calculator or a table to find it. Using my calculator I got approximately 1.64. This is your critical value. Use it in the margin of error equation.

Now that we have everything we need, we can now find the margin of error:

    E = (1.64) * sqrt((.65 * .35) / 100) = .0782

Now that we have the margin for error we can calculate the confidence interval. The confidence interval is calculated by the following equation:

    p - E %26lt; A %26lt; p + E

Where p is the sample proportion, E is the margin of error, and A is the actual population proportion. Plug in our numbers that we got:

    .65 - .0782 %26lt; A %26lt; .65 + .0782

    .5718 %26lt; A %26lt; .7282

So we are 90% confident that the population proportion of tax returns that have errors is somewhere between 57.18% and 72.82%.

  • What is the sampling distribution's true purpose?

I understand the formula but what I don,t get is what I'm supposed to deduced from the score.

Say I have a sampling distribution of 2. Is that good or bad?

Is it just that it gives us a standard score and that this standard score tells us the likelihood of getting that score in a normal population? What is the sampling distribution's true purpose?
The sampling distribution tells you how likely it is that any statistics you calculate from your sample apply to the whole population. For example if you wanted to calculate the average IQ of a city, then obviously the most accurate way of doing this would be test everyone in the city. If you take a sample of that population and test them, you can calculate a mean. The sampling distribution tells you how likely it is that the mean of your sample differs from that of the whole population. If you want your survey to be accurate to within, say 2 IQ points, then you need to choose a sufficiently large sample size such that the sampling distribution is 2. This is neither intrinsically good nor bad - it purely depends on what you want to achieve.

Has A Rod become a ';true Yankee'; based on random, small sample sized at bats?

Alex Rodriguez, once considered a soft, mentally weak choke artist who couldn’t come through when it mattered most, is now being labeled a “hero” and a “True Yankee,” based on a completely random sampling of five games in which he has batted .368 and hit 3 home runs.

The relatively tiny amount of at-bats and opportunities has made a believer out of even the most jaded New York Yankees fans.Has A Rod become a ';true Yankee'; based on random, small sample sized at bats?
not yet, the writing portion of the true Yankee Test is the hardest part.Has A Rod become a ';true Yankee'; based on random, small sample sized at bats?
Do you know that Arod had better post-season stats than Reggie Jackson through their first 42 play-off games? Then Reggie got 3 homers in his 43rd and became Mr October based on a very small, completely random sampling of games.

If anything it was wrong to label Arod a choke artist because of a small sampling of post-season games considering he's had a hall of fame career and 3 MVP awards.
if someone can blatantly cheat with steroids, only to still play and be loved (by mainstream manipulation for revenue purposes)

than honestly, why does anyone think he stopped? He has proven who he is, money hungry, cheating, fame seeking, and crooked arrogance

Not a doubt in my mind A-Rod hasn't changed, people can deny the evidence of conspiracies, but when the word ';ironic'; means ';expected'; ....I take an unbiased look at the details

    Black Sox scandal,

    gambling on the game,

    drug and steroid use,

    corked bats,

horrible and obvious incorrect umpire calls,

    stealing signs (this involves technology)

Alex Rodriguez is not a hero, and not a true Yankee.. he isn't even a true baseball player, people need to stop kidding themselves, heroes don't do the things he's done
Post Season is not the only factor, A-rod has always been a great regular season batter. The Post Season success is just securing the deal

I think it was 2006 or maybe 2007, the year hit about 50 Hr and won MVP. Yankees from April to June were in a huge slump. the only reason they are hanging on by a thread was because of A-Rod producing runs at the bat
8 Months ago he was a steroid cheater who also messed around with hookers and cheated on his wife but Yankees fans still call him a hero.

I guess its great to play for the Yankees, their fans still cheer you on when you screwed a few hookers.
Has he won a championship ring ? what is a true yankee ? relatively tiny amount of at-bats ? you don't know anything about the yankees
its kind of funny how they walk arod intentionally, and we do the same to abreu and they boo. hypocritical?
To SuperCat, It doesn't matter with what he's done in his personal life, the steroids matter but that''s because it relates to baseball. I'm not trying to say bad stuff about Babe Ruth but he had an alcohol problem and he definitely got hookers but it turns out he's one of the greatest Yankees of all time. My meaning of a true Yankee is someone who sticks with their team, through thick and thin, with or without being able to come through for your team. Give A Rod a few more years with the Yankees and he will definitely be considered a true Yankee. He's definitely had more than just a couple RBI's than in the postseason. He's come through for us, it's just that most people point out when he doesn't come through. Jeter is a True Yankee and it doesn't take a 6 year old to figure that our( well maybe lol) but yes Jeter is the honorable Yankee. Posada is an honorable Yankee. Robinson Cano can be a future honorable Yankee, he's been with them ever since the start of his career. A Rod has definitely become an RBI Yankee ever since the last month of the regular season and now the postseason. Let's see how long he can last as The RBI Guy.

Why do people keep saying A Rod isn't a true Yankee for what has happened in his personal life? Ok so I have to admit A Rod is kind of an asshole for cheating on his wife and apparently, being a money hungry monster. How does this relate to his baseball performance. This person is asking about his baseball performance and why suddenly people call him a baseball hero. Not for other people to rip on him. A Rod did to steroids. Horrible, just horrible. I think that anyone who does steroids should be suspended for life in baseball. But atleast, he didn't break records with it like Barry Bonds.

True or False: The sample mean is a point estimate of the population mean?

    true?

Looking for a link to a actual site where i can find a true listing for a telephone number.not just a sample?

i have a telephone number. just need the name and address that goes to it. thanks for any help you can give me..........Looking for a link to a actual site where i can find a true listing for a telephone number.not just a sample?
I use whitepages.com you can choose to do a reverse phone number search but if the phone is unlisted or a cell phone number it won't give you the information

Avogadro's number can be used to find the number of atoms in a givin sample of an element? true of false?

TrueAvogadro's number can be used to find the number of atoms in a givin sample of an element? true of false?
True. Its the number of atoms in a one mole sample of an element - 6.022 x 10^23.Avogadro's number can be used to find the number of atoms in a givin sample of an element? true of false?
Avogadro's number IS the number of atoms of a given element in 1 mole of the element by definition. The mass is different for each element, but the atom count is the same.

The sampling distribution of sample p' is approximstely distributed as a students t-distribution. True or Fals

True or false is the sampling distribution of sample proportions p' is approximtely distributed as a student's t-distribution.The sampling distribution of sample p' is approximstely distributed as a students t-distribution. True or Fals
if the sample size is low and the data set is from a normal distribution then yes, the proportion will follow the student t distribution. if the sample size is large enough the sample proportion will follow the normal distribution regardless of the data's distribution.

Defining as the probability distribution is a terrific idea

Which is true about a 99% confidence interval based on a given sample?

Lots of things are true and lots of things are false. Perhaps you'd like to refine your question?

Sagittarius men, is it true that you have to 'sample' every female at least once?

The best honest answer will reward you 10 POINTS.

The more details, justifications and examples, the better!!!!Sagittarius men, is it true that you have to 'sample' every female at least once?
Yes..we like a garden variety, same as we like to test drive different cars before we buy one. So yeah, we also do the same with our women. But, once we find the perfect fit we are loyal to the end.Sagittarius men, is it true that you have to 'sample' every female at least once?
Yes, because they are the wannabe Gemini...
    Yes! They do! LOL

It's nothing personal. They just think it's fun...

True or false. Can a test one sample hypotheses test about the mean with a confidence interval about the mean?

your question is not very clear.

it is possible to draw the sample conclusions from a confidence interval and hypothesis test.

if you find a 100(1 - 伪)% confidence interval then for any value of 渭, the population mean, within the CI, you will fail to reject the null hypothesis that 渭鈧€ = 渭 at the .伪% significance level

for any value of 渭 outside of the confidence interval you would reject the null hypothesis at the corresponding significance level.

Is it true that 24 hrs after smoking marijuana it is no longer traceable in a blood sample?

they test urine. however they can test hair.Is it true that 24 hrs after smoking marijuana it is no longer traceable in a blood sample?
No - they can trace THC for at least 30 days in the urine and longer in other testsIs it true that 24 hrs after smoking marijuana it is no longer traceable in a blood sample?
No, If I remember correct it takes about 5 - 6 weeks to be untraceable. However it can be traced after that using a strand of your hair.
drugs could stay in your system for years. Hair samples can tell things about you for years to come.
No!Marijuana can stay in your blood stream for days! They can check your hair folicles and they can find it!
I do not know where you heard that LIE........That statement is false! Of all the substances one can use to attain a sense of euphoria........marijuana stays in the system the longest. According to medical standards, it can stay in your system for thirty(30) days......this scale applies to a casual smoker, someone who smokes every other day or so. For an everyday user........well, do the math........CHECK IT OUT......LATER
The THC can be traced for ~30 days.
    No.

The chemical in marijuana, THC, is absorbed by fatty tissues in various organs. Traces of THC can be detected by standard urine and blood tests for about 2 days up to 11 weeks depending on the persons metabolism, how much they smoked and how long they smoked. THC can be detected for the life of the hair. Again, the sensitivity of the test ranges from person from to person depending on many factors including the amount of body fat, differences in metabolism, and how long and how much they smoked.
no more like a week if you pound a bunch of water. you are thinking about coke
    no

cannabis can be detected in urine after a week, and it can be detectable in the blood for months depending on the does and frequency of use as it stores in fat cells
Not true. It is traceable for a long time.
    No.
No, it can stay in your system for as long as 6 weeks.
no, weed stays in your system 3 weeks to 6 weeks depending on how much you smoked. it is stored in the bodys fat cells, so the fatter you are the longer it stays.
Yes, because all drugs go on the arbitrary 24 hour system. When 24 hours is up, all investigators are magically baffled, left scratching their heads- then they refuse to take hair samples, where the pot stays in your system for months, on moral grounds.
    false
around thirty days my friend that's if you re frame from smoking any more that's for urine blood i am not sure about

Sample true & false questions for liscensing renewal for over 80 drivers?

samples of true or false questions given at a driver's liscence renewal exam in Ontario, Canada for over 80 driversSample true %26amp; false questions for liscensing renewal for over 80 drivers?
    here is the link

http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/dandv/d鈥?/a>Sample true %26amp; false questions for liscensing renewal for over 80 drivers?
Hey Sheri, ever think maybe some older people don't have family living near them? I'd love to be able to help my grandparents out like that, but I just can't make a 10 hour drive from Maryland where I live, to Georgia where they live, everytime they need to go to the doctor. All their other family lives either near me, or on the West Coast.
I am not quite sure what your question is asking as you did not provide a link.

In my very humble opinion, most 80 year olds should be taken care of and not driving as there is a condition known as middle age eyes and at 80, that would be times two. We should all be taking care of anybody in our families who are 80 years old and they should not have to drive anywhere. ((((Sheri))))

  • I need a sample of a plant lacking true vascular tissues?

Can anybody give me some examples?

Thanks in advanceI need a sample of a plant lacking true vascular tissues?
Nonvascular plants include moss and something else. Just find Moss. Its in areas of places that are humid but also constantly humid.

    Good luck.

For more info, type up ';nonvascular plants'; in a search engine.I need a sample of a plant lacking true vascular tissues?
    a lichen isn't strictly a plant

    mosses and liverworts
algae ,bryophytes ,pteridophytes are the plants lacking true vascular tissue...e.g. chlamydomonas ,funaria, selaginella , respectively
    Moss and lichens.

To summarize a set of sample data properly, we need only the sample mean. true or false?

False. You need the mean, standard deviation (or variance) and form of the statistical distribution (e.g.gaussian).To summarize a set of sample data properly, we need only the sample mean. true or false?
It depends what you're looking for. The mean definately won't help you alone. The mean is the average! Having just one piece of data that is way bigger than the rest could totally screw up the average and give you a false impression of how things are. How about looking for the median (the middle of the data)? The standard deviation isn't a bad idea either.

The probability of rejecting a true null hypothesis increases as the sample size increases?

Are you asking if this is true? It is. A null hypothesis is one that proves there is no relationship or a relationship between two things is not true. You can never really prove a hypothesis to be true; you can only reject the null hypothesis, that is, reject the fact that is not true. An example: say you are studying the size of amazonian bees in the rainforest and want to know if the size of the bees is different on the west side vs the east side (a hypothetical exp of course). Null hypothesis would be that there is no difference. A different hypothesis would be that either west are larger or east are larger.

The proability of rejecting a true null hypothesis increases with sample size because you have a much better representation of your samples, or a better representation of the whole forest. If you sampled only 5 bees, say, and 3 were large and 2 were small on teh west side, you would say that you cannot reject the null hypothesis b/c there actually is a difference, there are more larger ones.

However, 5 bees is a small sample size and not indicative of the true population of bees. A larger sample makes it easier to show teh diversity, true population, and thus it is easier to reject a real null hypothesis. Hope this helps! The probability of rejecting a true null hypothesis increases as the sample size increases?
I'm going to back away from this one. I started to answer thinking I knew the answer, but now I am not sure. Sorry.

For a certain sample of gas particles, the average kinetic energy depends on density. True or False?

thnx! For a certain sample of gas particles, the average kinetic energy depends on density. True or False?
    False

Kinetic energy - is energy possessed by a molecule by virtue of its movement or motion. Higher its velocity, higher is its kinetic energy.

    KE = 0.5 * m * v^2

    - It depends on temperature and

    - how heavy the molecule is (its molecular mass). - heavier the particle, slowly will it move. For a certain sample of gas particles, the average kinetic energy depends on density. True or False?
I beleive true... since gas is compressable and compressing is a way of storing energy.
    true nearly all the time.

Is it true that they stimulate the prostate to get male's secretion sample?

is it true that they stimulate the prostate to get male's secretion sample? i heard that sometimes they ejeculate... is it true?what are they extract it for?Is it true that they stimulate the prostate to get male's secretion sample?
Yes, but it's not nearly as easy as it was portrayed to be in the movie ';Road Trip';.

It is possible for men to ejaculate from prostate stimulation alone, but can take awhile. In fact, I've never been able to reach orgasm from prostate stimulation. The most I can get is a lot of pre-***.

But it's definitely enjoyable and worth experimenting with.Is it true that they stimulate the prostate to get male's secretion sample?
Occasionally, if a sample is needed for testing or for donation, and the male cannot achieve ejaculation, the prostrate can and will be stimulated or massaged which will result in an ejaculation. Has absolutely nothing to do with ';smut'; magazines or movies!
they may do that if they think you have a prostate infection

they need a prostate fluid sample to check for bacteria

and yes some male will ejaculate when they massage the prostate
Only in poorly written smut books.
