Is it best to remain true to the faith you were raised in, or to sample them all and pick your favorite?

Is it better, spiritually, to remain with the familiar or to find what ';resonates'; with you? If you leave one religion to go to another, are you abandoning faith or finding it?Is it best to remain true to the faith you were raised in, or to sample them all and pick your favorite?
would you walk into a carpet shop and choose the one your parents had or would you have a look at them all and choose the one you like the most and suits you?Is it best to remain true to the faith you were raised in, or to sample them all and pick your favorite?
No, it isn't abandoning anything. Studying something before blindly following it is a good thing. Just because something is familiar doesn't mean it is the right path.

To answer your question, yes it is better to find what works for you through studying them all. Even if you don't follow something doesn't mean that you can't learn from it. There is a grain of truth to everything.
There is ';blind faith'; where you accept what is given you without question.

But I think the truest faith is that which you come to through doubt and examination.

I do not believe spirituality comes through blind obedience. To engage the soul, one must engage the mind, as well.

Does it make sense to believe in a creator who would give you the means to question, but not want you to question?
I personally believe that there is no such thing as 'relative truth'--meaning, 'what i believe is good for me, what you believe is good for you.' if truth were relative, there would be no truth, because everything would be a lie! i trust that Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven, and that by His wounds, I am healed. :D
you shouldn't be in a religion or whatever because you're family has always been that. you choose by what the Bible says. ultimately you have a choice. if your family's religion is wrong how is going to the right religion abondoning?

let me ask you this:

if you were to die RIGHT NOW, are you 100% for sure that you would go to heaven?

if you don't know that and you want to know, email me at chocolatejunkie19@yahoo.com. i'll show you what the Bible says. you can't go to heaven by being a good person or because your family is religious. the only way you can go to heaven is if at one specific time in your life you asked Jesus to save you. you don't have to remember the exact time and place but have you done that before?
Make sure that the faith you have and the teachings you have are the one true teachings of God from the KJV Bible. Do not be misled away from God by being a part of a false religion that teaches lies disguised as God's truth when its not.
You need to find the truth. The Bible says that you should learn the truth and the truth will set you free. Pray for that truth, look for it, be open to learning it.
idk better ask the Jews they're supposed to be our teachers!

But I'll give you a hint:

LUCIFER=666, JESUS=666, MUHAMMAD=666

A=9, B=18, C=27, D=36, E=45, %26gt;%26gt;%26gt; Z=234
i would search out all religions and find about all of them... i am 14, and i read I don't have Enough Faith to be an Atheist. it really helped me with believing what i believe (but it is a challenging read)
It's better to form your own opinion and not allow yourself to be told what to think. Exercise your free will, God didn't give it to you for nothing.
Whatever feels right for you.
Question Everything you must never stop questioning to do so is foolish.
I think you should search for the truth,not just accept whatever you are told.

-- Raised Christian, now Baha'i.
You would be finding 'it' when you seek Truth! (Jesus IS Truth!) %26lt;')))%26gt;%26lt;
I don't need to sample other religions when I know in my heart that Jesus is the way to go.
HAHA wow. you're just stupid.
